I have spent the last couple of months trying to comprehend the human mind and am befuddled by my findings. The human mind is best described as the activity of the brain. At best, it creates a thought system which is fraught with errors. This is brought to light by the fact that all academic works recognizes a margin of error. While this is so for academia it follows logically that this would also impact one’s daily life. How much of this is recognized and influences our judgment of situations and of others is not clear. The fact that we are quick to past judgments of others would suggest that this fact is certainly not one that we take into consideration. The premise then is that the human mind is not perfect and this would arise from the simple fact that it is limited. Added to this is the source from which it draws its instructions. There are two sources from which the mind can receives instructions; one is from the collective conscience i.e. from the society in which it is found and from the divine space within. It is impossible for both spaces to occupy the same space at the same time and so when one is active and fed the other subsides. In other words when the voice of the collective conscience is uppermost in our minds then the voice of silence subsides. In most instances it is the collective conscience to which we give adherence. Of even more interest is the fact that the mind attacks constantly its host. in that regard it is amazing that the human body lasts so long. The attack upon the self is carried out on the belief system that it is someone else and so the crisis of the human race is self denial.
