Students show the plastic bottles they have collected as a part of their response to the Wisynco Recycle Challenge.

Many students from across the grades have been aggressively collecting plastic bottles in response to the Wisynco Recycle Challenge.

The challenge engages schools through their Science Department and/or Environment Clubs to collect plastic bottles for recycling. The Wisynco aims to collect 300,000 plastic bottles from September - November 2018 and schools and other organizations are being encouraged to collect as much bottles as they can. Our students have responded very well to the challenge. No plastic bottle is spared wherever they  were on the compound. From the garbage bins, behind the buildings, in the vicinity of the school, in offices and classrooms and even from your hands, students have been competing healthily with each other to meet their own targets. Students have been working in teams and have acquired gloves to pursue the target. It is clear that the students have been enjoying the activity and they seem steadfast and focused in their mission.

Wisynco promises the school which collects the most bottle a cash prize and prizes to the students and staff advisors who supervised the initiative. The initiative is an excellent one to encourage students to participate in the protection of the environment.
