Scenes from the Beach Clean Up on September 15, 2018 The Ascot High School Environment Club engages in several initiatives aimed at improving the cleanliness of the environment. In addition to coordinating the school's response to the Wisynco Recycle Challenge, the environment club has also partnered with other adjoining clubs and community organizations to clean up the Hellshire Beach on Saturday September 15, 2018. Both students and teachers worked together to tackle the debris on the beaches. The students were enthused and came up in their numbers to support the initiative. The students also are energized by the recycling project and both upper and lower school students have come together to collect the bottles for recycling. The club does not only create opportunities for students to clean up but they also put on a recycling poster competition. Students were rewarded for portarying healthy recycling habits in art form. The artistic students also showed much enthusiasm in the initiative. The club is managed by the Department of Science. The staff advisors are Ms. Preston and Ms McCloed. The club continues to provide energetic students with many opportunities to do several environment-friendly projects. |
