Ascot High School Embraces Online Registration for New Grade 7 Students

Ascot High School has taken another bold step in modernizing its operations by rolling out online registration for incoming Grade 7 students for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The move reflects the school’s continued commitment to integrating technology into its administrative systems to better serve parents and students.

Parents responded with mixed reactions to the new process. Many appreciated the convenience and ease of use of the online registration portal, which allowed them to complete the process from the comfort of their homes. Others, however, found the system more challenging, particularly those who are less comfortable with technology. To ensure no parent was left behind, the school established a help centre on campus, where staff members assisted families in completing their registrations successfully.

Principal Shannell Talbert reaffirmed the school’s vision for technology-driven operations, stating:

“Online registration is the way of the future. Integrating technology in the administrative operations of the school is geared towards improving efficiency in school operations and enhancing the service we offer to our parents.”

The principal also announced that re-registration for returning students will also be conducted online, signaling the school’s intention to fully embrace digital solutions in its processes.
